Published by Linea. Linea is our clear aligner service; the other providers are listed for comparison, at the prices they publish. Checked September 2026.
Nationally, orthodontists charge $6,301 on average for clear aligner treatment, and the average across all providers is $5,108.1 In New York, the well-known practices we compared charge anywhere from $3,800 to $6,395 for full treatment, and what's included varies as much as the price does. The difference comes down to how many aligners you need, who treats you, and what the price actually includes. Here's how five NYC options compare, and why we think Linea belongs on your shortlist.

Check my fitLinea partners with local dentists who commit to Linea's fixed tier prices and a streamlined way of working. That lets us offer strong value with a consistent standard of care, for the cases we're designed to treat. Here's how treatment runs:

A full exam with X-rays and a 3D scan at a partner practice in Manhattan or Brooklyn. It's $200, paid to the practice, and dental insurance very often reimburses some or all of it.

Our orthodontics team maps every tooth movement in collaboration with your dentist, who approves the plan and, as your treating dentist, is responsible for your care. You see a 3D preview before any aligners are made.

Your dentist fits your aligners and handles anything your plan needs. Between visits you upload progress photos in the Linea app. Most people have about four to six office visits in total.
Because Linea sets the prices rather than each practice setting its own, keeps visits to the stages that matter, and plans treatment in-house rather than through an outside lab, it can price treatment at a highly competitive level: more affordable than typical in-office aligner treatment.1
Every tier also includes your 3D plan, fitting and final appointments, app check-ins and US-based support seven days a week. Linea assigns your tier from the records taken at your exam.
Linea has a 4.8 out of 5 on Trustpilot from 346 reviews, 97% of them five stars.3

No. Linea is its own clear aligner brand. Our aligners are made from Zendura, a premium multi-layer material, and planned by our orthodontics team. Invisalign is designed for a broader range of cases than Linea.
Your local partner dentist. They examine you, approve your plan and see you in person at each stage, working as a team with Linea's orthodontics team.
That's common with aligners, which is why every tier includes refinement rounds. The extra aligners are included; the practice charges $150 for the rescan.
Linea is designed to improve the alignment and appearance of your smile: mild-to-moderate crowding, spacing and bite alignment, plus some more involved cases your dentist assesses as suitable. It isn't intended to treat functional problems such as jaw pain or TMJ disorders, or severe or skeletal bite problems; those may need braces, an orthodontist or other specialist care. Your dentist decides at your exam.

See if I'm a candidate1 Invisalign® fees are set by each provider and vary with case complexity and location; Align Technology does not publish a standard price, and its US cost page gives example doctor's fees of $5,490, $5,600 and $7,000. In the Orthodontic Products/Levin Group survey of a random sample of US orthodontists (2025 results, published April 2026), the average fee for clear aligner treatment was $6,301. CareCredit reports a national average of $5,108 for clear aligner treatment without insurance (range $1,800–$8,100), based on a 2023 study conducted for Synchrony by ASQ360°. Linea's prices are its fixed tier prices of $1,995, $2,995 and $3,995, which include retainers, whitening and 1–3 rounds of refinements; the initial consultation with your partner dentist ($200, often reimbursed by insurance) is separate, and a $150 rescan fee applies if a refinement is needed. Linea is designed to improve the alignment and appearance of teeth in mild-to-moderate cases and treats a narrower range of cases than Invisalign: it is not suitable for severe or skeletal cases or functional problems such as jaw pain, and a lower price does not mean the same treatment or the same outcome. Suitability is assessed by your dentist. Figures checked September 2026.
